Steve was elected to the Town of Venice Highway Superintendent position in 2014. Prior to that, Steve was with Cargill Deicing Technology. As Superintendent, Steve is responsible for 47 miles of town roads and plows 24 miles of County roads. Steve has served in the Cayuga County Towns Highway Superintendent’s Association as president since 2017. Steve also is Deputy Fire Chief for his local fire department.

Steve feels this would not be possible, without the help of his four highway employees. They make sure that the work gets done. Also, he has a great Town Board to work with. Most of all, he credits his wife of 29 years and his three adult children, for rendering their support. He is also the proud grandfather to Miles who turns four in August.
In his free time, Steve enjoys camping and barbequing chicken with his neighboring Superintendent (Paul Wheeler), Town of Genoa.
