In October of 1994, Gary began his career with the Town Highway Department as a M.E.O.  For 7 of those 26 years he was the Deputy Highway Superintendent and in May of 2016, Gary was appointed Highway Superintendent by the Town Board to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the calendar year.  He since has been elected twice, running unopposed both times.

Gary’s hobbies include hunting and fishing.  He admits to having a passion for bow hunting and a true addiction to the Spring Turkey Hunt.  Gary has introduced and mentored many youths to these outdoor sports. Memberships include the NRA, NY Bow Hunters, and the Northern Catskills Chapter of the NWTF.
